Preparation

1. Protect adjacent surfaces. CONCRETE BOND & CLEAN™ can permanently damage glass and soft metals. Cover nearby windows, aluminum and other vulnerable surfaces with plastic sheeting secured with plastic tape.
2. Protect plants and roots. Contact with foliage can cause browning, and absorption through roots can damage or kill plants. Cover vegetation with plastic sheeting and contain or divert rinse water away from root areas.
3. Inspect any existing sealer. If it is peeling, flaking or otherwise unsound, remove it before proceeding.
4. Test a small, inconspicuous area. Confirm compatibility, the desired appearance and the required soaking time before treating the full area. Soaking typically takes 30–60 minutes, but determine the appropriate time from your patch test.

Application Instructions

1. Apply to a dry surface. Brush, roll or spray CONCRETE BOND & CLEAN™ evenly over the entire area requiring cleaning, thoroughly wetting the surface.
2. Agitate greasy or oily areas. Use a deck brush to work the product into the concrete’s pores and loosen contamination.
3. Allow the product to work. Leave it on for the soaking time established by your patch test.
4. Rinse thoroughly. Remove loosened dirt and grime with clean water. A pressure washer may be used for this rinsing step.
5. Allow the concrete to dry thoroughly. Allow approximately 24 hours before applying SKID SAFE™ Anti-Slip Sealer and ND AGGREGATE™. The concrete must be thoroughly dry to avoid trapping moisture beneath the coating.

Spray Application

Use a pump sprayer or a low-pressure electric preparation pump operating at 50–60 psi, fitted with a fan-shaped saturation nozzle. Thoroughly wet the surface and avoid wind drift.

Do not apply CONCRETE BOND & CLEAN™ through a pressure washer. A pressure washer may be used with clean water to rinse the surface after treatment.

Recommended Tools

A power-painting roller can help apply the product efficiently to walkways, driveways, patios, plazas and other large, flat areas. A commercial-size roller on an extension handle helps reduce overspray.

Limitations

CONCRETE BOND & CLEAN™ is not designed to remove graffiti, strip paint or sealers, or remove hardened deposits and certain masonry stains. Use a patch test to assess the results on your surface.

Safety Precautions

• Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles when handling the product.
• Ventilate enclosed areas.
• If the product contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water.
• Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed hazard, handling and first-aid information.
• Dispose of waste and rinse water safely in accordance with applicable regulations.

CONCRETE BOND & CLEAN™ releases no VOCs.

First Aid

Rinse eyes thoroughly for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Rinse skin thoroughly with running water. If ingested drink large amounts of water or milk, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING, and seek medical attention.

Storage and Application Temperature

Do not store or use this product below 45°F (approximately 7°C). If the product is below this temperature, reheat before use. Use only when the temperature is above 45°F.
