Looking for an anti-graffiti coating for a wall, storefront, or other exposed surface? The ND Graffiti Shield System™ pairs SKID SAFE™ sealer with ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ protective topcoat. Together, they form a clear barrier designed to make new graffiti easier to remove and help protect the surface beneath it. This barrier also protects from weather damage like UV fade and rain erosion.
The right product quantity and preparation depend on whether the surface is porous, semi-porous, or non-porous.
How does the ND Graffiti Shield System™ work?
The system uses two products in sequence:
SKID SAFE™ primes and seals the underlying surface.
ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ forms the protective topcoat over the dry primer.
ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ is available in glossy and satin finishes. It is designed to resist staining and weather exposure while allowing graffiti to be removed from the protected surface.
For graffiti removal, we recommend DISAPPEAR Organic Graffiti/Adhesive Remover™. The coating protects the surface; the remover is used after graffiti appears.

Over the SKID SAFE™ base, you apply four separate topcoats of ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ which dry quickly between each coat. Coverage can vary by substrate, use our Graffiti Protection Selector to identify the right products and quantities for the application surface. Test a small, inconspicuous area before treating the full surface.
Where might graffiti protection help?
The system may be useful on suitable exterior walls, storefront surfaces, building entrances, fences, and other areas repeatedly exposed to graffiti. Confirm compatibility with the specific material and existing finish before applying it. For a large or unusual surface, contact us with photos and dimensions.
What should you plan for before application?
Identify and test the surface. Check the material, existing paint or coating, condition, and desired finish. A small test helps establish compatibility and the actual spread rate.
Apply the sealer first. SKID SAFE™ must be dry to the touch before ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ is applied.
Apply four thin topcoats. Allow each ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ coat to dry to the touch before the next. Drying time changes with weather, humidity, and ventilation.
Allow the system to cure. 96 hours before putting the completed system into normal use. Protect the area during that time and follow the complete product directions.

What happens if someone adds graffiti?
We recommend removing new graffiti within 24 hours where possible for better results using our DISAPPEAR Organic Graffiti/Adhesive Remover™. The process is straightforward: Allow it to work, and then clean or rinse the area. A cleaned section may need a light touch-up coat of ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ depending on the pressure applied.
Always follow the full directions and test it on a small area first.
Protection beyond graffiti
The ND Graffiti Shield System™ is also designed to help protect suitable surfaces from UV fading, weather exposure, staining, and urine. That can make it useful on exterior building walls, parking garage walls and columns, entrances, and other exposed vertical surfaces.
The coating’s performance depends on the underlying material, preparation, application, and maintenance. Test a small area and confirm the system is appropriate for the specific location before treating it.
Frequently asked questions
Is ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ used by itself?
SKID SAFE™ is needed as the sealer beneath ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™. Select the number of sealing coats according to the surface type and full instructions.
Will it change the appearance of my wall?
It is a clear coating offered in glossy or satin finishes. Test an inconspicuous area to assess the appearance.
Does the coating remove existing graffiti?
No. This is a protective coating system. Existing graffiti should be addressed and the surface properly prepared before application. DISAPPEAR Organic Graffiti/Adhesive Remover™ is a separate removal product.
Can I use it on brick or concrete?
Yes, you can apply on many porous materials such as brick and concrete. These generally need two SKID SAFE™ sealer base coats, followed by four ND GRAFFITI SHIELD™ coats. Test the specific surface and follow the full data sheets.
How much product will I need?
